Like many other teachers, I'm a survivor of the corporate world who was searching for a little more meaning in life and the ability to be of service to others. I love to teach in a playful, creative but challenging way with watery flows and fun beats.

Teaching Style

  • Adjustments/Assists: Absolutely!

  • Theming: Always. I love sharing content of what I'm currently reading, learning or practicing myself. I also love to theme with my interpretations of traditional philosophy in a modern way, so that it is relatable, accessible and allows people to take it off the mat and into their daily life.

  • Sequencing: I generally sequence towards peak poses, and love to add creative twists and watery flows.

  • Music: I love me some down tempo ambient beats to unpack body and mind, upbeat melodies to flow to, then suuuper chill to wind down.

As a yoga teacher, what inspires and motivates your teaching?

Seeing students float out of class never gets old, along with witnessing some of those 'Aha!' moments in class definitely motivates my teaching. My students are the true inspiration for me - day after day they show up and do the work, even if they don't feel like it. It motivates me to stay inspired, to continually be a student myself so I can in turn pass on what I learn.

How has your own yoga practice evolved since becoming a teacher?

I do a lot more Yin!! There is a lot of output involved in teaching, and I try to refill my cup as much as possible. Self-care is so important.

For those of us that haven't practiced with you before, what can we expect from your classes?

Watery flows, playfulness, accessible challenges and funky tunes.

What type of class could you teach all day, everyday and why?

Aside from Vinyasa, I love teaching Yin! Super relaxing to facilitate as well as practice. I feel like I've done the class myself when I teach it!

HIIT, circuit training.

What's your go-to spot in Melbourne to get inspired?

This is going to sound super yogi-ish but it's true.... being outdoors amongst nature is always a winner to feel refreshed and inspired.

Richard Branson for business and entrepreneurial insights, Freddie Mercury for entertainment and wild stories, Michelle Obama for girl power.
