My yoga journey started by taking a free class in Bali; I fell in love instantly. I tend to change my style of teaching as the week unfolds or the inspiration around me. I tend to combine all elements of fire, water, and earth. I love to teach flows that have a purpose, are dynamic and leave people feeling inspired and at ease.

  • Happy Melon - Ashtanga intensive with the beautiful Monica Aurora

Teaching Style

  • Adjustments/Assists: Yes.

  • Theming: Yes I theme every class! My themes are determined by what is inspiring me that week; could be as simple as a little anecdote or quote.

  • Sequencing: I tend to mix it each class, whether it be a peak pose sequence, a flow with repetition or a flow that develops and unfolds gradually by building heat.

  • Music: I tend to play music with no lyrics but mimic the mood I want to portray at the time.

As a yoga teacher, what inspires and motivates your teaching?

To always remain a student. It keeps my mind wide open.

How has your own yoga practice evolved since becoming a teacher?

To appreciate my own practice more and more - to become more mindful and aware of every intricate detail.

Do you have any yoga teachers that you admire and/or look up to? Who are they?

There are too many to name! I am inspired by both Melbourne teachers and international yogis.

For those of us that haven't practiced with you before, what can we expect from your classes?

A dynamic yet calming class - if that makes sense.

I love to teach flows that have a purpose, are dynamic and leave people feeling inspired and at ease.

What type of class could you teach all day, everyday and why?

A class that leaves people feeling grounded and at peace.

Do you practice any other form of movement or fitness besides yoga? If so, what kind?

I run everyday and box once a week!
