At Be Well, we are committed to providing a welcoming and nurturing space for the holistic health and wellbeing of the surrounding community.

Nestled between Geelong and the beautiful Surf Coast we embrace a balanced lifestyle and approach each individual as just that; a unique person with their own story to tell about how they got to here and where they want to go.

By combining Osteopathy, Myotherapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology with Clinical Pilates and Yoga classes we strive for the best outcome for the mind and body of everyone who walks through our doors.

Preparing for Your Class

When You Arrive:

  • The natural timber of our front signage and fencing sets the tone for our clinic. When it's dark, our road sign lights up to help you find your way.
  • We have parking out the back, and convenient entry via a ramp.
  • Once you enter, head left to reception. If no one is available at reception, please make your way upstairs (through the open golden door).
  • We are happy to receive payment before or following the class.

What to Bring:

  • Our studio is equipped with mats, bolsters, rollers and yoga blocks.
  • For end of session deep restoration/relaxation, we have eye masks and some blankets.
  • You are most welcome to bring your own equipment.
  • Clothing needs to be comfortable and easy to move in.
  • You may bring a bottle of water, however, if you forget, we have filtered water and local tea for you to enjoy.

Behind the Studio: Katie Milbourne

Tell us a little bit about how your yoga journey began.

Being a practice that has a focus on health and wellbeing, yoga has always been of interest to us. We have offered yoga classes in the past, and wanted to reintroduce the service to our clinic.

What inspired you to take the leap and open up your own studio?

Our beautiful clinic exchanged hands in late 2018, and with that change came the desire to provide a more whole-istic service. Yoga is the perfect fit to provide our patients with the means to assist with their treatment and manage their recovery - as well as for the general benefits that yoga imbues. We have the perfect space upstairs that has been transformed into a tranquil sanctuary.

Speaking of inspiration, what words do you live by? Name your personal or professional motto.

If you listen to your body when it whispers, you won't have to hear it scream.

What sort of experience are you looking to cultivate whenever someone steps foot into your studio?

Peaceful, relaxed, inspired - free to be themselves and to be well.

Describe the kind of music your teachers play during class. What's the music vibe like?

Calm and soothing with a coastal influence.

While we're in the neighbourhood, what local spots should we check out before or after class?

Two Wrens Cafe - ticks all of the boxes. Relaxed setting, friendly staff, yummy food and great coffee.

Lastly, what are you most proud of when it comes to your studio and/or your community?

We are proud to be able to provide a well-rounded approach and access to health and wellness - through Allied Health Services and yoga classes. It is inspiring to see our community embrace this new service, as well as displaying empowerment in taking responsibility for maintaining their health and wellbeing.
