Parents and Carers time out: A moment to remember and acknowledge our wholeness beyond the carer role.
In this workshop you will learn some tools and resources to guide you back to your wholeness. Expect a playful day of Mindful movement, yoga nidra, restoration and an opportunity to connect with yourself and your community.
As 2 young parents we realise how easy it is to get swept up in the role of being ‘a carer’ and the lack of space and time you have to give to yourself. Yoga and mindfulness have supported us through this wonderful rollercoaster of parenting and we want to share these potent practices with other carers.
Fran Wilson was introduced to Yoga by her brother Chris Wilson. After just a few classes, she quickly realised that yoga takes you far beyond just a physical practice, that it allows you to truly go deeper in every aspect of your life.
Her love of yoga has led her to train with an array of wonderful teachers including Baron Baptiste, John Friend, Rolf Gates and, of course, the Power Living crew. Fran believes that we have an opportunity to grow every single day and her classes allow you to experience and play with this, always bringing an element of fun.
With a background in contemporary dance, Kristiarne’s deep love and passion for yoga truly began 8 years ago when she practiced her first Vinyasa class, where the freedom to move with fluency and breath was like dancing and the physical and mental challenges were brand new.
Since completing her 200hr YTT in 2012, she’s trained and practiced with the likes of Simon Park, Doug Keller, Dana Trixie Flynn, and Maty Ezraty. Kristiarne creates compassionate, energetic, and accessible classes that empower students to develop a greater understanding of not only their body but also their individual feelings, sensations and mental flexibility. Philosophically, her classes combine traditional teachings with modern day mindfulness.
