In the fullness of our modern lives, what allows one to inhabit a moment? What does it mean to rest heart and mind in a sense of unbounded spaciousness? Join Alice in exploring the ways in which we might ease into presence.
Led by Alice Hobday.
According to one Harvard study, approximately 47% of the time we are awake is spent thinking about something other than what we are doing in that moment. This weekend retreat is intended to provide the opportunity to collectively explore contemplative and embodied practices, diving into what it means to arrive softly and dwell in the experience of what’s happening right now.
The ancient tradition of retreat provides an opportunity to step away from the rhythm and pace of daily life, in order to see things with fresh eyes – and possibly, to see ourselves with a fresh perspective. Integrating guided mindfulness and compassion-based meditation, embodied yoga-based movement, self-reflective practices, restorative and yin practices, meditative journaling, sound and walking meditations.
Held in the Yarra Valley at Riverdale Retreat Centre. A unique off-the-grid home for an intimate group of 13 guests.
