Our unique and in-depth 50 hour meditation teaching certificate will enhance your personal practice while cultivating essential teaching skills and expert knowledge, so that you can step out and share these practices with your community.

Our foundational certificate draws from mindfulness-based interventions such as MBSR & MBCT while touching on the rich theory, philosophy and history of mindfulness in the wisdom traditions.

Upon completion you are eligible to join Meditation Australia.

50hr Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training

Mindfulness meditation has a myriad of research-based benefits, with commitment and regular practice, these teachings can assist you in developing more freedom from suffering, enhancing your wellbeing and sense of connection with life.

If you are ready to learn more about mindfulness and develop skills to practice independently and share this knowledge with your people, this foundational training is for you.

We acknowledge the contemplative traditions and teachings that brought us these practices, yet the teaching style we foster is secular, non-dogmatic and inclusive.

Our specialised 50-hour certificates forms part of the broader 200-hour training (more on this below)

What will I learn?
Each individual 50-hour certificate gives you specialist knowledge in the evidence-based meditation practices related to the field of study. These are foundational immersions, especially useful for people wishing to deepen knowledge of meditation and those with scope incorporate mindfulness or compassion into their existing work or practice.

Each 50-hour certificate covers:

  • Mindfulness Meditation Introduction
  • Context and Theory
  • Core Mindfulness Meditation Practices
  • Stress Physiology
  • Contemplative Perspectives

  • Trauma-Sensitive and Inclusive Facilitation

  • Relevant Research and Evidence Base

Additional reading, work and submissions are required to complete our 5-day intensive and will be provided via an online format.

200hr Mindfulness & Compassion-Based Meditation Teacher Training

Our 200-hour training incorporates both mindfulness and compassion certificates supported by a 1-year mentorship program which meets the UK Best Practices for Mindfulness-Based Interventions, for committed students ready to consolidate knowledge, practice and step into professional teaching roles within the community.

The training is for committed meditation practitioners ready to consolidate knowledge, practice and step into professional teaching roles within the community. Mentorship combines individual coaching, online learning, one-on-one guidance, a self-selected silent retreat and practical teaching experience to develop the seeds of mindfulness and compassion into fully flourishing embodied knowledge.

Criteria for the graduation of the 200-hour certification:

  • Complete both Mindfulness & Compassion Immersives
  • Attend a week-long silent retreat of your choice
  • Additional 100 hours of mentorship, reading, online learning and teaching practice
  • Commitment to the ethical framework for Mindfulness Facilitators

Phoebe Kiddo is a meditation teacher, artist and yoga teacher with over a decade of professional teaching experience and over two decades of personal practice and enquiry. Phoebe has trained with leaders in the meditation field including Jon Kabat-Zinn, Kristen Neff, Jack Kornfield, Center for Mindfulness Research, Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, Alan Wallace, Bhikkhu Analayo, Barre Center for Buddhist Studies, Rigpa Australia and more.
